Certification Summary:
For individuals who design complex routed LAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN networks of 100 to more than 500 nodes that utilize Cisco routers and switches.

Initial requirements:
To earn the CCDP you must first earn the CCDA and CCNA certifications. You must then pass three additional exams: Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BICSI); Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN); and Designing Cisco Network Architectures (ARCH). You must also sign the Cisco Career Certifications Agreement. Exams cost $125.
You can elect to take the composite exam (642-892 Composite) in place of the BSCI and BCMSN exams, shortening the path to certification by one exam.

Continuing requirements:
Must recertify every 3 years by passing the then applicable CCDP recertification exam. Passing any CCIE written exam will recertify Cisco Qualified specialist, associate and professional level certifications. CCNP and/or CCDP titles can also be recertified either by passing the 642-891 Composite exam, or by passing both the 642-801 BSCI and 642-811 BCMSN exams.
